Nextorch new release for SHOT 2012

During SHOT I found the Nextorch booth and with the very kind assistance of Sarah, received a little introduction to the new lineup for 2012…

A series of USB programmable and rechargeable lights, a 7 LED 400+ lumen searchlight, and a very friendly attitude.

Apologies for the somewhat intermittent unstable video, my assistant had departed prior to this day.

The Mytorch programmable lights have actually been available for a while now. Selfbuilt reviewed these at the end of April last year: -

Admittedly though, a very interesting concept if you have not seen them before.

I spoke with the owners/managers of the company at SHOT and at one of the evening partys for quite a while, and am really impressed on these. Im going to purchase at least 1 to play with.

I have a myTorch 3xAAA. It looks like it has some switch problems, maybe mechanical maybe because of the software, but it sometimes refuses to switch modes or stay in a dim mode. The XPE is thrown but the light isn't as bright as today's competitors. I hope they have a retouch for this line. Very strong body but has some weak points.
