Hope the title made sense, I want to replace a stock clicky switch with the mcClicky made for the twisty e series tailcaps, has anyone tried this before, will it work or can it be made to work. I need a higher amp rated switch than the stock one, this seems like a plausible solution.

It doesn't really make sense.
"E series" compatible switch should mean that it's made to fit lights of the E series; E1E, E2E, E2L, ETC.

How do you use a semicolon anyways? I can never remember exactly.

The mcClicky that I see for sale says it is a replacement for the older style twisty tailcap switches, I have the newer clicky tailcap, which is only rated for about 2 amps max. The mcClicky says it is good for 5 amps, but will it fit my style , sorry if it was confusing, it still may be.
