Hope someone can help me answer this question.
I recently acquired a shell (just the host) of Maxlite AA from a forum member. The host came with two stage switch that resembles mce2s. However, it is not held in the tailcap with anything. When I unscrew the tailcap, the 2-stage switch falls out.
So, I have two questions:
1) Is there a piece missing that mechanically holds this switch in place?
2) Is this the way original Maxlite AA switch was offered or is this something that has been modified?
I tried to search using the search engines but did not find any detailed information on the actual mechanics of Maxlite AA. I have the 'standard' mce2s that has a plastic retainer ring that threads into the e series cap. For a host that is almost five or more years old, it's difficult to find in depth info.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
