Shame on me for asking this question given my flashaholic title, and nice to be back on the forum after so long.
A friend of mine went to SHOT and was kind enough to bring me a 2012 Surefire catalog. Needless to say the new output lights caught my attention and renewed my interest in lights after so long. I just ordered a new Fury.
But I could not help seeing that Surefire now uses two units of measure for their lights. Lumens and Candela. We all know that Surefire underrates their lumens. What is it with the candela business ? If two of their lights match the lumens output they do not match the candela measure by a long shot in some cases. It leads me to believe some of the lights are not as bright as others with the same lumen output is this correct ?
