Hello CPF-ers,

My TN11 is giving a burned smell at the head. When I smell around the threads of the head, it smells burned.
But when I look at my light, the threads, the o-ring -nothing burned to see.
I noticed that the o-ring wasn't precisely correct in place, so put that thing good but the smell still stays.
( used it last night and had no problems, for about an half hour, max time on around 3-4 minutes, I'm using Panasonic 18650(grey colour 2900mAh) )

What can be the problem? What can cause this smell?

Mine did that a little, I degreased it the best I could and re greased the threads and it went away, I had read that it was the grease and it seemed to be it.

I think it is, what varmint says. I removed a little bit of grease now- not everything. Hope the smell will go away soon.

Nothing to worry about. Lithium batteries have a tendency to give off acrid chemical smell. My TN11 has the smell as well.
