Specs and pics are posted at http://www.nitecore.com/goods.php?id=31

Stylish, XPG R5, current control circuit and a solid looking reversible pocket clip.

I still think the Thrunite TI is the best of the new crop of AAA but I'll pick up one of these when available

Yep, it's out then. I remember coaking posted its first photo (with T2) in November. Looks really good, but (someone's gotta say it)... can't tailstand :sigh: So let's wait for a serious review. HKJ?

Cheers,

Tam

Yeah it looks very similar, the tail-end is slightly less rounded on the Nitecore though and the clip looks good too. Price is the key point left I think.

I thought this was an XM-L T5 light, so I am a bit let down. First Thrunite names an aluminum light Ti, and now this.

Does this Nitecore use a spring in the base like the Foursevens Revo or does it use the battery crusher type like the Klarus Mi10?

Hi every one!
I just received my Nitecore T5s and tried the flashlight.

I find the twist head very difficult to turn!! It's not smooth at all.
I need to use my two hands to turn the lamp on and to change the mode...
Is it normal? Or the head will become smoother with the future manipulation?
Do I have to use it more and more, again and again to make the head smoother and easier to turn on?

Thanks!!

Clean the threads and reapply a good lube. Use a cotton rag to clean the threads and make sure you haven't left fibers in the threads. I use nano-oil, but there are other good lubes out there.

I am starting to really love this light. Lube the threads with nyogel for silky smooth operation. I run 10440's (unprotected) and this thing is a beast! Once I started using this light on a more regular basis I noticed that if it is left just barely off, the light will activate with a thumb depress on the side of the head, great IMO! Also it will turn on low before high with a slightly shorter twist from off. Only when running 10440s tho

There may be some impurities between the threads. As advised above, you need to clean them, and lubricate them after that
