Question to other V10A owners

As the V10A does not have a tailcap that can unscrew, what is the preferred method to measure its current draw at any particular setting?

Secondly, as I don't have a lightmeter. At about how much % rotation does it put out the same amount of light when powered by a 14500, than it does at its max setting when using a Eneloop?

I'm for sure going to bookmark this thread. Thanks. I'm sure I can work out my second question by measuring the consumption and working out the wattage.

I'm getting 1.62A with an AW 14500 that was recharged yesterday.

I'm not even close to that. My 14500 is at 4.08V, rested voltage, before I tested. I only got 1.05A.

But I've been told I must put on bigger wires on my meter. And its battery might be nearing the end of its life.

Does anyone know what will happen to the control ring when it gets pocket lint, etc. in there? Is there a way to clean and lube it without disassembling the light?
