Hi all, the new model Terralux 3 LED Drop is listed for 4-6 cell M@gs, just wondered if anyone has tried running it in a 2 or 3 cell light with NiMh AA's and an adapter or on Lithium Ions?
If I'm not figuring wrong, the voltage range from 4-6 Alkalines would be 6-9 volts, so you should be able to run it in a 2C or 2D with 2 LiOn cells at 7.2-8.4 volts max. Would this work, or is it asking for trouble?

It'll work fine. If you have a new model Maglite body and decide to run flat top 18650's, you'll need a small magnet(or a dab of solder) on the positive terminal of the first battery. The new switch assembly has a flat contact point.

I'm personally running a 2D Mag with a Modocod 6AA battery holder, and that works just fine.

I cannot see that there would be an issue in running two li-ion cells in series.
