The installed LED is an XPG-R5. The beam focus beautifully just like a rotary 200. For curiosity sake I also hold up the reflector against an XML to see what it was like. At low current such as this HDS an XPG appeared to be brighter as more lumen is in the hot spot, thus, greater throw. The XML was just too floody. IMO if you are running currents under 2A an XPG is the better choice due to greater throw compared to an XML in a similar reflector.

Vinh,

Since it was an SSC, how did you manage to have an 8mm board for an XP-G ?

PSM, you needed more output or where you unsatisfied with the tint ?
