I have never modified a light before, but own probably 20 factory lights (Surefire, Streamlight, Fenix, 4sevens).

The light is this light: Dewalt DCL510

The 12v drill that take this same battery is an awesome compact drill. I only bought it because it was a huge sale. But have not used my 18v since I go that little guy, even ran 3.5" screws into wall studs for heavy duty shelves. I don't have this light, but was thinking of getting it if it would be a cool one to make over. Any thought?

The first tool battery LED accessory that actually looks decent. OTOH, seems a bit under driven, only 130 L output. Even a moderatly driven XML [1A] should put 250 L OTF. If its well made then the price isn't too bad.
