Does anyone know if the X300/X400 and vampire heads can take 7.4V (i.e. 2xRCR123s)? I was just wondering in case you had to run rechargeables through them. I would probably need to have the battery compartments bored out too. How about the M720s? I don't want to fry the circuitry in these puppies.

While we're on the topic of voltages, does anyone also know input voltage range for DBAL A2 and PEQ15s? Haven't checked to see if there is room in those for an RCR123 but it would be a nice option.

Thanks for the help!

I've used them in the past just to see if it works and it does but Surefire will not warranty the product if it fails.

Even I would never try to use RCR123's in a DBAL or PEQ15. I suspect that the circuitry wouldn't be as forgiving.

The X-Series WeaponLights have proper 'glued' bezels.

SureFire proposes a Vampire version with a new more compact bezel that will also be offered on a proposed 'E-Series' handheld called the V1
