I haven't seen this posted before and I have seen a couple of posters asking about how to get to the switch boot to be able to replace it. It is fairly simple, basically there is a heavy duty sticker on the tail of the light surrounding the switch boot and battery indicator. All you need to do is get something under the sticker so that you can pry it up and then remove three screws and lift the aluminum(?) plate off and your switch boot is right there, pull it out and then assemble in reverse using a new switch boot. If you are careful, you should be able to get the sticker off without too much damage, I dog eared mine slightly, but it bent back alright. They probably aren't necessary, but here are some pictures anyway.

Thanks. There is already a thread about PA40 switch boot, but you're the first to actually pull it and post some pics, so kudos to you, bbrins:thumbsup:

Cheers,

Thank you for the photos and explanation. I was wondering how it was done and this helps.

Thanks! I've been wondering about this since I got the light about a year ago.

Although the sticker on the outside can not be put back right?
