I soldered a little bent over piece of copper wire to the landings on my R01A because from constant use the un-anodized metal in the battery casing was wearing off the contacts on the board, I didn't have this as my plan of attack since the beginning so I kinda roughed up the board a bit. I started by trying to solder an entire copper ring that would go all the way around but had a really hard time getting it to bond right so I went with what you see here. Much more reliable contact and no more flicker. This is definitely the weakest part of a pretty good design.
