Looking for a low current driver

Hi!
I am building my own cave light and have problem to find circuit board for xp-g led emitter. I don't need those 1A driver, beacause the light output i want must be somewhere between 50 and 200 lumens. The best would be a 3 mode driver (min 50mA, med 100~200mA, max ~600mA).
Thanks for any help.

We would need to know the power source (voltage range) in order to recommend an appropriate driver.

Can't really recommend any thing with out knowing your battery setup. Just guessing there's not a 110v outlet in the cave.

For 3-4.2 V input I've make very simple linear on 7123

It's produce 20 and 120mA

You're right, i'm not gona use 110V outlet, my choice is 2x18650 in parallel, thats 3.7V output.

is there any tutorial, how to make something like you did?

You could use a shiningbeam amc7135 based driver sku# 1218. Simply remove by unsoldering 2 of the amc7135's. There is four now so removing 2 would give you 700ma max output with three modes. Operates from a li-ion voltage decently. Very robust driver.

I think I recall someone , somewhere, pointing out you don't need to desolder 2 of the chips, just cut one pin on each of them. But I forget where , or which pin. Less messy than desoldering though.

Should be VDD pin from looking at the datasheet.

If i remove two amc7135, what would be amperage output in low and medium mod? Will it drop to 30 and 220mA, or will it stay the same as before, so I'll get 60,440 and 700mA?

I think you will still just get 350mA, just PWM'd.

The 3-mode AMC7135 drivers that are sold at SB's website are programmed for 5/30/100% (Atmel 1002 Tiny13A controls the PWM output). So if you remove two 7135 chips the resulting output level would be approximately 35/210/700ma.

It's true

one 7135 produce 350mA and than PWM work

somebody can notice 'flickering', somebody can't
