Thrunite offers 2 versions of their P60 3-mode drop-in.

The only difference is that one has 2.7-4v input range, and the other has 4-9v.

What exactly does that mean? Given an unmodified Surefire 6P, which would be the better choice?

Apologies in advance for the newbie question.

If you get the 2,7-4V you can only run a single 17670 cell in a stock 6P , the 4-9V one you can run 2x123 primaries or 2xRCR cells.

Great, thanks for the help.

Since my stock 6P uses 2x123s, looks like I'm going the 4-9v route :)

I find that the higher voltage dropins are much more useful & flexible - one to two LiIons, two to three CR123's, most popular configs, it's all good.
The lower voltage / single-LiIon-only ones aren't practical for the longer 9P/C3 bodies if you ever get into those.
