12 Volt Tigerlight Charging

There's been a lot of talk here about charging our Tigerlights at home/work. Has anyone had experience with charging their TL in their car?

Does it take much longer? Any pros/cons?

The Tigerlight charger, at least mine, is regulated, (couldn't resist - I took it apart) so it shouldn't matter if you're charging from the wall transformer or in a car, or if the car is running or not.

It's a nice design. I was just expecting some sort of limiting resistor or something.

Tom..I'll have to open mine up. Are you saying that, no matter the power source, the light should be charged in the same amount of time?

That is correct the TL charges exactly the same in the car as at your 110 slot, by design. I have found that you can go to a car stereo store and have a 12 volt socket bank installed, I prefer the trunk. I am able to keep the light charging while the car is parked or traveling. unless you choose the TigerLight weapon then I keep mine between my seats.
