CQG S1 runs on AAA, has tailswitch and is available with neutral tint emitter option.

I'd get one for myself, if not for the parasitic drain of its electronic switch.

Rarely. The main benefit of a AAA over a AA is a few mm of length. A clicky will add several mm (10mm is the shortest clicky I've ever seen), bumping you into a size where you may as well tack on another 6mm length and 4mm diameter for triple runtime with a AA.

They're also slimmer, which may or may not matter to you.
