Are you looking for a small light with a similar beam profile? Or the same battery type? Or a complimentary flood type beam?

A small Triple would be nice, if Gene made one.
If I could bear to destroy an MDC head, I'd do one.

A small Malkoff triple doesn't exist, and I doubt it will for the next 5+ years.

Either an E1 or E2 \Scout paired with the appropriate body will be considerably more floody than an M61T. The addition of an F04 diffuser will take the beam to the next level of smooooooth.

The E2T arrived yesterday. Yep, I like it. I compared it to the E2ST to about 65 yards, but the difference wasn't obviously noticeable.

I'm curious what you will get back. I have no doubt that Gene will do something but you can't get a 219A or 219B R9050 anymore.

Just following up on this. I got a M61l 219 v2 in this Friday. So I am very happy and feel that Malkoff went above and beyond for me and what could be a 7 or 8 year old dropin.

Has anyone tried a VME head on the Surefire EDCL1-T body? Wanting to try the M31W drop in and hope that the gas pedal switch still works.

I remember a while back there was talk of 26650 or 21700 bodies. Have there been any developments in this area? I would love a 21700 MD4 body.

I communicated with Gene about the 26650 or 21700 bodies in April and he said that he wasn't sure what they'd do next.

He first mentioned 26650 bodies back in October 2016 and expected them to be ready early 2017, which obviously didn't happen.

I'd be happier if he goes down the 21700 route, 5000mAh's in a smaller package than the 26650's.

I REALLY want a multi M61 Dropin head! 4 M61’s in a head wouldn’t be much bigger then a super HD head. And it could be designed to run from 1-4 Dropins at a time. Think about it you could run a long running M61WLL and a long throwing Dropin in the same head.that would be awesome “in my head it looks and works great” 😁
If i had one day left to live i would want to be at my workplace.Because every day is like a frickin eternity.

As a bonus, it could serve as a sea anchor for marine applications.

I'm not sure if I am picturing it the same way you are, but you are looking for four M61 dropins each with it's own power supply? Could you find someone to 3D print a bracket that would hold four MD2s together?

Yes 4 M61 in a single head each wired independently from one another. Imagine The beam with 4-M61’s! Or hell you could run 4-M91’s. That’s where the bigger battery tube comes in.

    Very interesting concept actually.

Recently learned about the ZL S6330, one of the few torches put together in this fashion, I believe.

I walked about 2 miles holding the WCV6 and the Hound Dog Super side by side. It was really great, I even thought at the time I should duct tape them together. The WCV6 lit up everything very close, very well, and the Super took care of the longer range needs. Also, the WCV6 smoothed out almost all of the rings from the Hound Dog Super and the tints, both neutral blended together great.

So yeah, I could see 4 M61's put together.

hi I have the Prometheus Ti Clip on my MD2 but noticed the o-ring is not staying much in place ( its below the clip ring ). am I doing something wrong ? there are 2 o rings which arrived with the clip. do I need both o rings on the clip ? above and below?
from malkoff site; The clips also fit many Surefire lights and SF clones. You need to use an o-ring to fill the gap. We provide two black nitrile o-rings. Tailcap lockout function is not compromised.

I have the same clips on two different Surefire G2X lights (one is a MV). Both squeeze the o-ring out of the gap, so now I let the clips spin.

I wouldn’t worry about the o-rings with the prometheus clip. My clip sits rock solid without any o-ring. Only thing I don’t like about it too much is that it’s a little too close to the head in my opinion. If I could change anything at all on the MD2, it would be to shorten the tail cap or tricap about 1 cm - or where the tricap gets wider - and have a slightly longer barrel to have the same length of flashlight but with the clip a little further to the back.

Yes an o ring is not needed but lots of options at my local hardware store made it an easy install.

The preorder for the new dropins is up. The led is a Nichia 219B R9080 4000K around 95 CRI.

    I placed an order for a M61LLL 219B v3.

Tried it, only gives you high mode. The LX2 however, will give the gas pedal high/low since the lx2 has the resistor in the tail cap. Lx2 works with all of my 60 and 61s but the edc is one mode only with the 60 and 61s
