so given that lately there are a few 2+ XM-L flashlights being released by, say, Klarus, Niteye, Jetbeam, Nitecore, etc. will this be a good platform to mod as the years go on?
I ask this because:
1. you've got a very big space to work with and the components on the PCB photos I've seen don't look really tiny, so it'd be easy for a layman to solder on a new component I'd imagine.
2. if you screw up one spot on a 3-emitter light, you've still got two spots/surfaces for more emitters to go on, so it's not like you ruined the entire light
3. lots of power options to go around for future LEDs that get released.
thoughts on this? I think the Nitecore Tiny Monster will be the flashlight people mod to upgrade as the years go on because it doesn't have three separate, compartmentalized spots like the Niteye EYE-30, for example.
