I had an old Eveready Captain flashlight that I upgraded to LED several years ago. I now have a co-worker that may be intereted in upgrading his to LED. Anyway, what are some of the best choices right now for a 2 D light? I believe the original bulb in this is a PR-2 and it has a plastic reflector. (Hey, for all I know, maybe some people swap out the 2 D cells for a stick that holds 6 AA cells! That might be overkill, however.) Probably just something that is an LED might be the easiest.

Would the TerraLUX TLE-1F be a reasonable choice? It looks like they can be bought for under $20 shipped to a US address.

Dorcy made LED replacement for PR bulbs as well. Comes in 30 & 40 lumens versions for 2-cell & 3-cells and up respectively.
