Hello

I have a Stormlite torch that takes a single AA battery. It's a great torch, however has recently ceased working - i.e. it fails to illuminate. I've tried several new batteries, inserted both ways but still no illumination. I have a multimeter and am somewhat familiar with it - could I use that to determine what is wrong with the torch? I'm assuming the LED part (is it called a 'cree"?) is broken - but I guess it could be the actual supply of power to that part that's the issue. I could perhaps use the continuity tester function of the multimeter?

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated! I'd hate to bin the torch if there's a way it can be resurrected.

Regards

Matthew,
:welcome:
If it has a tailcap, you can try jumpering, or bypassing the tail cap/switch.
I have not seen one, hard to say without a picture. You need to have a picture host like Photobucket, Flickr, Imageshack, etc. to post pics.
