Hi, new to this forum so bear with me ...

I currently have a Sea Lion Hunter using the Cree XM-L T6 and want to mod it to use a green led.

The only one I could find with any decent output is the SST-90G.

Would it be possible to remove the XM-L chip and install the SST-90???

I'm not really after getting the maximum output out of the SST, something similar to the original output would be fine.

thanks :)

Further to my last post, did some research on the XM-L T6 and the SST-90G:

XM-L T6
SST-90G
lumen @ 3000mA
975
[email protected]
mA Max
3000mA
9000mA
V typical
2.9V
2.5V
V max
4V
3.9V

Wolf Eyes specify 1000 lumens emitter output so I assume the current would be near the max @ 3 amps.
Driving the SST-90G @ 3.15 amps has the emitter output at around 855 lumens.
My question is would the original driver work with the SST-90 led chip?

As long as its a decent constant current driver and not something cheesy like just a resistor inside, it should work. (which it appears that what they are on their website)

Thanks... possibly the main issue will be fitting the SST-90 10mmx11mm chip as the XM-L T6 is only 5mm x 5mm. I think will disassemble first to see how much space there is .....
