I thought about creating this thread to encourage Sunwayman to give us one. I'm sure it will be my most favourite light ever. What about we make a list of all the names who is prepared to buy one once available? Then after that we can present Sunwayman with this list and it might be worthwhile for them to invest in such a light. I'm sure it will sell lot hotcakes as not everyone want a 18650 or so light.

I'm number 1

V40A will be a 4X AA nimh XML light. I know a single 18650 3100mah would proparly outperform 4 Eneloops but I want one in this form. The M40A does not have enough settings for me and I would like the low setting to be lower.

it will be great too. those eneloops can be discharged at 4A!

for me, i would like a better beam, a nicer to hold body.
kind of like the jetbeam PA40.
with a infinity UI head!
that would be nice.

If the price was similar or cheaper than the M40a, I'd get one. If it was anymore expensive I'd go with the V60c

Yes the V60C is a great light. I just don't like running 18650's in series. I will constantly be reminded that I'm sleeping next to a possible pipebomb. I know I should not think this way as there has been no reports of accidents with these lights but that is why I want one with AA's. I allready own a few 18650 lights but do want this one. I still love to use AA flashlights. Even my TK40 that takes 8 of them is a joy to use.

I see now the V60C has a operating voltage from 5.5to 25V. That means the 3X 18650's are run in series? Even worse for me. If they were run in parallel it would have been a far better option for me. I see other 3X18650 lights are being run in parallel.

Also its runtime is not consistant with other lights.
Sunwayman's own T40CS does more lumens for the same 2 hours but with only 2X18650's, not with 3. So its not very efficient really with those 3X18650's in series.

Bring on the V40A or even a V80A:D

If they keep the M40A design mostly but add a momentary feature similar to the M20As and V20As, I'd get one. The only gripe I have with my M40A is the lack of a tailswitch with momentary.
