This is great information, thanks for doing it. Do you have runtimes for some LiCo batteries as well, for comparison?

Yes, I can do some run time tests using AW16340 cells on the EalgeTac P20C2 (can't do this on the T20C2 or SureFire though). Since the energy density of LiCoO2 is higher than LiFePO4 cells we already know that we'll get some extra run time ... let's find out how much more time we get.

I added two more run time graphs:

SureFire Z2 with Nailbender XM-L U2 drop in running on LiFePO4 and AW16340 LiCoO2 cells. See post #1. The LiFePO4 cells drop off more slowly whereas the LiCoO2 apparently trip their circuit protection leaving you in the dark. But you get more run time on the LiCoO2 cells.

I have run my Surefire 6PX tactical on 2ea AW RCR123 LiCoO2 cells. Runtime was 59 minutes until the protection kicked in and it went dark.

You're braver than I am ... I was afraid to put LiCoO2 cells in mine! Thanks for the info. So you get another 14 minutes of run time ... nice!

So basically 2/3 of the runtime. But somehow they manage to generate the same output. Interesting info for those who might prefer "safer" chemistries.

I decided to buy some AW LiFePO4 RCR123A batteries at Lighthound while I was in Houston this past weekend. They do give longer run times. So far I've added the graphs for SureFire 6PX and P2X to post #1. The 6PX has 3 minutes more run time down to 10% output while the P2X has 2 minutes more run time. The light output of the Fury is much flatter over time using AW versus Tenergy. The AW batteries cost more than twice as much as the Tenergy batteries so I can't justify the small performance improvement on a cost basis, unless the AW batteries are more reliable over time. I should also mention that I bought the Tenergy batteries at Battery Junction for $3.05 each (before S&H) and the AW batteries at Lighthound for $6.49 each (before tax).
