Recently bought a no name brand 7x CREE XM-L T6 from eBay to try out. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261016328958?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Battery Configuration is :2 x 26650 3.7v / 2x 18650 3.7v / 3 x 26650 3.7v / 3x 18650 3.7v

It is probably the same as a TrustFire TR-J18 7xCREE XM-L T6 as shown here http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1597

I tried to compare the light output to a Nitecore TM11 by using a lux meter placing it about 12' away.

Running with three batteries, it is probably about the same brightness as Nitecore TM11 (with only three XM-L T6).

I wonder if I can replace the single battery extender (extension tube) with a twin battery extender making it four batteries in series? Would it make it brighter and would the LEDs handle the extra voltage?

Thanks.
