Surefire filter question

I just got the f04 diffuser for my L1 and I'm loving it. Just wondering if you more experienced Surefire guys know if the red version of the filter diffuses as well or is it just clear red, not frosty?

The F05 red filter is "clear" (red), not frosted. It is not intended as a beam diffuser.

Since most typical LEDs produce little light in the red spectrum, however, it does significantly reduce output.

LEE filters could be used to create a color/diffusion combination

i have the F05 red filter, and on the L1 it really does reduce its output.
L1 with F05 is lower output than my red LED L1 with diffusor which is rated at 22 lumen high, and 1.1 lumen low.
