The UKE 2L 2x123 light was once on everyone's must have list: compact, bright and rugged.

Now mine are sitting forlornly in a drawer.

Anyone have a suggestion for current lamps or another use?

Battery storage seems obvious, but what to put in the empy space in the head?

I've seen reference to an LED version but have assumed the all plastic light is not well suited for conversion.

This is the Bucklite version.

Wow, that brings me right back!

UK lights were awesome back in the day.

Although I didn't have one of those CR123A ones, I did have a couple of 4AA, a few 2AAA, a 4C and a 4D searchlight when they seemed to be the brightest on the market, plus led lights were of the dim variety. Also these had the cache of being very desirable for the action adventure seeking. I discovered them because I was trying out scuba diving at the time (didn't like it! Very Claustrophobic).

But, alas, nowadays my lights are no more, long since moved aside for the brilliance of the more advanced led lights we currently enjoy. I may have one or two lurking in a drawer, but most of them have been passed on to friends etc. I don't know if UK do led drop ins for them anymore, they might.

Good luck with your search.
