Make a "top 3" or "top 5" or "top 10" list of your favorite flashlights that you now own or previously owned. If you dont want to do a list, then just list you overall favorite single light. Obviously list them in order with #1 being the best.

Its funny, I thought of starting this thread before I even considered which lights I actually would put in an order of which are the best. So I'll have to stop typing for about 10-15 minutes and think..........................................................................................................

Here are all the lights I own:
1. Eagletac D25A
2. Eagletac D25C
3. Eagletac G25C2
4. Jetbeam PA 10
5. Foursevens Preon 2
6. Solarforce L2P, w/ Thrunite XM-L 3 mode
7. Jetbeam BC-10
8. iTp A6
9. Zebralight SC 600
10. Sunwayman T20CS

So now that its 15 minutes later, here's my top 5 list:

5. FourSevens Preon 2
4. Eagletac G25 C2
3. Jetbeam BC 10
2. Jetbeam PA 10
1. Sunwayman T20CS

**This order is subject to change at any time!;)

2. Surefire 6P (with whichever drop-in I deem appropriate for the situation)
3. Zebralight H31w

These are my favorite three ... at the moment.
Coincidentally, they are my three most frequently used lights. ;)

my top 3 are easy, after that it gets harder figuring out which i like more. hehe

1. surefire L1 (1st gen w/ nichia 219)
2. surefire L1 (1st gen w/ SSC P4 high cri)
3. surefire L1 red (4th gen)
4. surefire C2 (oveready bored, white coated, clicky w/ M61 hcri)
5. surefire L1 (6th gen cree)
6. surefire E2DL (neutral tint XR-E)
7. surefire minimus vision
8. surefire G2 yellow w/ M61LL 219
9. zebralight H501w
10. armytek predator XP-G high cri

thats pretty much my entire dwindled collection:crazy: there are a few more surefire p60s, but ive given those to the family.
and there are still few more surefires i want, and of course a HDS rotary, that would make it high on the list :naughty:

Making a short list of favorites is easier than the hypothetical question, "If you could only have 3-5 lights, which would they be..." (unanswerable question, for me)

Fenix P2D Q5 - 'outdated', perhaps, but it is my front pocket EDC year-round. I love it, and I'm not sure that I could explain why, with any degree of eloquence. You just have to occasionally deal with dimes getting stuck inside the front bezel. Some earnest endeavor with a dental pick or broken-tip X-acto knife will eventually get the job done.
Surefire U2 (w/18650-bored spare body) - IMO, this is one of SF's most under-appreciated lights. That over-sized head makes a big difference, with beautiful throw, beautiful sidespill, and guilt-free lumens in this configuration.
Surefire E2D (bored for 17670) w/Lumens Factory EO-E1R lamp assembly - Compact and slim, with a beautiful, incandescent, relatively throwy pencil beam. The phrase 'elegant ringer' comes to mind.
Surefire L1 generation 5 modded L1 - The original 'Chinese hexagram' beam was a disgrace. Milkyspit removed the optic, put in a reflector, and replaced the led with a perfectly-centered XP-G HCRI emitter. I had him leave the circuitry stock. As it turns out, the XP-G will handle 3.7 volts. There is no comparison with the original configuration. Low-beam runtime is fantastic, as is the 4-hour high. My bias is normally against voiding the SF guarantee, but this was definitely worth it.
Leef 3x18650 body (with KT-1 Turbohead) - When I want to play with, what is for me, a lot of light, I like this one. I can use my Lumens Factory HO-M6R bulb, or a WA 1185 bulb in a FM bi-pin holder, or hopefully, some day, a Malkoff MD60 with a higher CRI than is currently available. If I want flood, I'll take the turbohead off, and put in a regular SF bezel with an M91W.

honorable mentions:

Surefire 6P (with or without A19 single-CR123a extenders) with a Malkoff (any Malkoff). Absolute versatility and perfection.
Fivemega 18650 body configurations w/the correct voltage Malkoff drop-in. Rechargeable versatile perfection.

Surefire A2 with Koala's 'onion ring', and Fivemega's Streamlight Strion-bulb adapter. I've got Nichia neutral 5mm leds in mine. They were already floody, and sanding them with 3M sanding sponges (fine) make them a 'close-in neutral-light mini-fog'.

1. McGizmo Haiku XM-L. It cost the most so it must be the best, right!!!
2. Nitecore D11.2 R5. If I didn't have the Haiku, this would be miles out front. Amazing UI. Just love it so much.
3. 4Sevens Preon 2 polished titanium S2. So bright on high with 2xAAA's it's unbelievable!
4. Klarus Mi10 stainless single AAA (Revo clone). My most carried light. Indespensible. A true must have.
5. Fenix LD20 R5. My 'workhorse' light. A real dependable, versatile light.
6. 4Sevens Quark MiNi 123. Gives people the biggest surprise when I crank it up on high! I just wish the threads weren't so sloppy.
7. Xeno E03 XM-L T6. A bargain light all round. Insane on 14500's.
8. Fenix E05. Not used much as was replaced with Mi10.
9. Nitecore EZAA Q5. Pretty much retired now. Only used on the dirtiest of jobs.
10. Ultrafire C3 stainless. In the car for backup. I've got a good one that works excellent. Modes can be a bit annoying though.

There you go. All my lights in order. I've sold a few and left myself with pretty much all I need for now.

Great thread!

Working for a distributor has it's privileges :) we have Sunwayman, XTAR, Xeno and Fenix. I trust Fenix to go the extra mile and survive when it counts than the others (in her field of work), that's why. Sorry, derailed the thread a bit. Next!

#1 Fenix P2D Q5 I've had it for what seams like years now. A perfect daytime EDC.
#2 Quark 123 No Clip R5. A little too fussy for daytime EDC but moon mode is GREAT for trips to the throne room!
#3 Lumapower InCendio 123. Memorizes mode. Has (VERY FAST un-noticeable) PWM
#4 Lumapower ConneXion AA. As above. The closet I ever got to an AA EDC.
#5 Zebralight (H30?) 123. A superb read in bed light!

For the lights listed below, I'd have to go with my ShiningBeam I-mini with a 16340 in it and the tan V10R, also with an RCR123.

Both are tiny lights, with variable outputs. Both can take the RCR123s and are brighter with them. Both are very small and almost unnoticeable in my pocket and weigh very little. The SB has a lanyard and no clip, the V10R is set up with the clip. Although the SB is an XP-G R5, it's got a decent tint and throws OK. My V10R is the XM-L T6, so it's a bit more floody, w/o being a flood light, like the SC-600.

Third would be the Xeno (no clip) E03 in NW and using a 14500. Only 3 modes, but pretty damn bright and it's slender, albeit a bit longer than the two above. XM-L T5.

Haven't really carried the SC-600, PD32, SF 6P LED (never carried that, lol), nor the Rogue 1 in a while.

The Jetbeam BA-20 and the Klarus P2A are both in my 'bug out bag' so then kind of sit and do nothing.

Chris
