Anyone know much about the new Sunwayman C20C?
Powered by 2xCR123 or 1x18650.
Only 25mm bezel diameter.
Shallow reflector for only 139 meters of throw.

Very similar to a Zebralight SC600 in spill and throw?
More compact 25mm bezel diameter, with a straighter side body design is a boon to the C20C.
Unlike its smaller brother, the C10R, it looks like the bigger C20C can tail stand, without having to remove key ring posts and lanyard attachments.

It might replace my SC600, just for its more compact straighter sides?
However, the C20C's protruding side button can become self activated, unless locked out??
Pity it only has 450 lumens...

That light is slick! I think it looks much better than the SC600. Whats up with only 450L though? Many new lights are running up to and over 650-700L now on that same battery power.

It is only $69 though......But there are now single CR123 lights that have turbo settings above 450L... For $69.

Tiny lights in 700lm range? Only SC600 comes to my mind. And it's bright for 3 minutes, after that output drops to 500lm. Single CR123 light can have over 450lm but with RCR only, unregulated, overheated etc. It's not always about max power.

I'm waiting to receive a sample from SWM, then I'll have a review available. : thumbsup:

Had it for about an hour now and love how compact it is, a few problems tho.

Firstly when i switch it on instead of coming on it will just flash once very quickly sometimes it'll do it again before actually switching on fully.

Secondly there is a distinct whine when on turbo mode.

Egad! Can you PM me the shop you bought it from? I'm worried if we got it from the same shop, mine will have the same problem!

That's called a "pre-flash".
Happened to my Jetbeam RRT-0 S2 last year.
You've done the right thing; they will replace it under warranty for you.
Pity these guys don't test it before it leaves the factory.
I had to pay freight for the return...

Yeah, QC's a bit dodgy, even for companies such as SWM.

No, just asked for a refund. It was listed as a OP reflector but they sent me a smooth and they don't have any OP in stock.

Aww, sorry to hear it didnt work out for you. I think all C20C's are smooth reflectors since the reflector's quite shallow, i guess they opted to make it smooth to get some sort of a throw going. Oh well, more lights out there to choose from.

Just a bit worried because SWM usually have high quality standards. Oh well.
