Can you run 2x 18650 in series in a D mag?

Inside body must be deeply twin bored out and custom made battery connectors must be fabricated.
Similar to this but connectors designed for serial.
I don't do that but absolutely possible.

Not like that one. Op wants side by side 18650, which will require twin boring the side walls of the mag body. Can be done easily on a milling machine with the right cutter.
