Hello all,
experimenting last night, i found that the tailcap from my spare Harbor Freight xenon 1x123 light fit pretty nicely in my Brinkmann LX with no modification except for a small spacer of some sort to make contact of the tailcap spring and the batteries. I used some folded up aluminum foil and it worked perfectly. As many of you may know, the HF 123 light has a very smooth pushbutton with momentary and click on just like the stock LX tailcap but much softer.
I think one advantage that some of you modders may find in the HF 123 tailcap spring being a tad shorter is that it might accomodate 3 CR2's this way???
oh yeah, by using this tailcap you also get a brinkmann lx that is approximately 1/4" shorter too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
