Which is brighter? Anyone own both? Both have seven LED's but I suspect the 4AA is driven harder.

I already own a Septor but I'm considering the 4AA because of all the good things said about it here on CPF.

I own a Streamlight 4AA LED ProPolymer and it's one of my favorites. It's a very good flashlight for the money. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have both, and the 4AA is brighter by quite a margin.

My brightest 7 LED array is AB's Mapasaurus Phoenix. It is brighter than the 4AA by quite a margin.

This is slightly off topic but I'm hoping that a 4AA LED owner can help.

Is the tail switch a true off and on variety and not just a momentary thing? I'm asking because my mother-in-law needs a light but because of her age she doesn't have the strength to turn a rotary bezel switch on or off.

It's got to be a thumb depressed switch: click on and click off.

Thanks in advance.

The tail switch is both momentary and on/off. This should work fine for her. The switch works pretty easy.
