FOURSEVENS has released the refresh of the XP-G LED flashlight products with the newest XP-G Generation 2 LED emitters. FOURSEVENS sent me to two examples from their refreshed product line and I've just completed my photo review:

No way.

Btw, where is the review? The short text is more like an ad or commercial or announcement or introduction type of text. I herewith ask you to change the thread titel to something more appropriate and humble, e.g. "A first quick glance at XP-G2 lights by Foursevens".

Anyway, as a so-called "REVIEW" (wow, what a proud word!!) it ***** so hard, so dont get me even started. Really. I mean it. And no offense.

:fail:

I'd rather have a green tint than blue. Blue tints remind me of cheap LEDs.

Foursevens needs to get its tint act together.
In the previous releases, they had green/yellow. Now they have blue.

I haven't bought a foursevens light in 2 years, mostly because of the fear of bad tints.
Prior to that, I bought several foursevens lights, and was happy with the basic quality and performance.
But I'm not buying a green or blue light at premium prices.

How about white? Is white so difficult? All the other makers seem to be able to do white.

UGH! It's not even worth my time to share my thoughts on how terrible I think those blue tints look. At least the older tints were more of a white color based on those pictures.

Not that it matters to me........ Except for a SS Preon Revo I haven't given 4-7s any of my business in two years - the lights are just too mass market for my taste now.

what the heck?? I thought in the subforum where they introduced the upgrade; someone said xp-g2 is more vanilla white... where the heck did this blue tint come from?

Anyone know how the new XP-G2 compares with the XP-G S2?? I know it will have more throw but in terms of brightness.

Very odd. I happen to prefer a blue tint over green/yellow any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Side Note: The color of those shots does not seem characteristic of the publicly available XP-G2 tints. The neutrals that I have purchased are some of the nicest tints I've seen (5B4) and I've heard that the cool tints available to the public are a very nice white color.

Your color balance couldn't be more off if you drew the picture with a crayon... Ive seen alot of the new FourSevens XPG2's and they are White White.
Then what are his XPG foursevens? 5000k?

A camera can make the tint appear totally different than in real life. The cool tint XPG2 module I bought from Nailbender has a excellent white tint. I would not expect the Gen2 Quarks to be any different.

You are incorrect. Note the perfect color balance in the rest of the photos. :twothumbs The images are consistent with how they appear to my eye.
