Question about upgrading to xp-g2

Would I be able to swap out a xp-g led for a xp-g2 and would I have to change the driver too? Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldnt find anything in the search.

They both have the same foot print, so yes you could. The driver would not have to be changed unless you wanted more light ouput. The xp-g2 has a 115 degree view angle and the old xp-g has a 125 degree view angle. So the beam should be some what tighter.

Thanks, that means Id need a new reflector right or would the old one work?

The old one would work with slightly tighter hot spot an a bit more throw.
