Hi.

I'm wanting to buy one of these to custom fit to a Mag 2D, probably going to run 2x26650's or maybe 6xAA's via adapters. I'm not fully decided yet.

Either way, in layman's terms, what real world differences would I see between these two different drop ins?

I guess things I like to know are:

-how to they compare in terms of throw/flood
-heat production
-potential run time on high (efficiency)
-colour
-hot spot size

They seem comparable price, but I only want to buy one and I'm not sure which to go for or why.

Thanks for your help. :)

Nobody seen both of these? Or any tech experts who can explain what differences I should expect?

The output will be almost the same for both of those due to the fact that the R2 puts our a few more Lumens than the R5. Why not go for the triple XML drop in?

Do you know of any suitable triple XML drop ins I could consider? Also what would a 3 XML offer over the other 2 drop ins?

The triple XML will give you a boost in output plus a smoother beam. The dealer you posted above also sells triple XML's.
