So you have a chance to go camping/hiking with a large group . Your chance to show off your sexy bright light :naughty:. You know most folks are packing their Mag lights and 5 led, 3 aaa power houses  Unsuspecting folks, who have no idea they will have a flashaholic in their mist...and are about to discover that their awesome light...might not be all that :green:

Which of your lights are you going to take? The one that will most amaze and delight fellow campers/travelers . The one you are most proud of .

Extra credit for sexy light photos...family friendly porn :naughty:. Double credit for outdoor beam shots .

Not so much about how bright, although it's plenty bright. More so about how bright it is for its size...and how it'll be in my pocket up until they have all unleashed their prides and joys. Oh, sure - I have my 1300 lumen Malkoff Wildcat that I absolutely love - and likewise a Hound Dog...and my 500 lumen Prometheus Alpha Blue Label....oh, they would all put on a show, and beam shots from most of them can be found HERE.

But what'll blow them away is when this little cigarette lighter sized titanium beauty goes from so low that you can barely see it up to 300 lumen that throws and throws (again, see beam shots here.) When I take it out of my pocket and hide it in my hand until I am ready to light up their world...

Yessir - it's the Stone Washed Gunner Grip Spy 007 Cool XPG, and it is my favorite light and my EDC - and if you look here, you can see another awesome use for this light posted by another member.

Full review and eye candy HERE, but here's a nice couple of teaser photos.

My recently modded light. XR-E R2 @ 1.4 A behind a thick 30mm Aspherical lens. Throwiest light that I have and isn't too big (average 18650 light sized). It's not sexy, very much beat up, and single mode, but it has served me well and I have put a good amount of work into the light. The inside is also lined with white paper, so it still has usable spill. That and my Zebralight SC51c for a more practical all around light.

I'm personally all about small pocketable lights that are dim with crazy long runtimes for camping and hiking. Course, it's usually difficult to impress non-flashaholics with low modes, except if you can show them that they actually have a much better 360-degree awareness of their surroundings if they'd just let their own night vision work. Failing that, though, the Max modes of any decent flashlight will "WOW" the non-flashaholic, especially when coming from a tiny package - I usually run a 14500 in my Quark AAX just to make sure. Three of my four favorites run a week or two on moonlight modes, and 2-3 days from a AAA ain't bad.

I think my EagleTac D25LC2. People who aren't in the flashlight know are totally amazed at how such a sleek small torch can just light up everything. Pulling out a monster thrower is a wast of time up here because the beam won't be able to go more than thirty yards without being stopped by forest.

I'd bring my pre-D 2D Mag that has an XM-L pushed at 3A. The driver has three modes and it would be set to low so that folks might mistake it for an LED-ified MagLite. A quick off-on-off-on and it's putting out 650 OTF (measured) lumens.

I am most proud of my $8.60 no-brand 16340 light from dx, that i modded with an OP-reflector, Nichia219led, 3mode1050mA NANJGdriver, and an extra copper plate under the led for heatsinking. Less than $20 dollars in cost, but a whole day hard work (making and flattening the copper plate, sanding down the driver to 14mm, repairing several board connections that where destroyed in the sanding process, soldering the pill together).
The result works like a charm, using it is a pleasure, my favourite light!

Nobody is going to be impressed by your Big, Giant light. Everyone expects a big, giant light to be bright. Yawn......Nobody is going to be impressd by your 100,000 lux aspherical, or laser beam Thrower. Many people ask me why it's so dim. Are you going to make excuses to steer your friends into a large open field with 300 meters of space? No, the Awe is always from the small, powerful high lumen lights. When you whip out the Thumb sized light that was hidden in your pocket, and light up your immediate surroundings, that gets everyones attention. And oohs and wows. I have a lot of powerful lights, but the $35 dollar, 240 Lumens OTF, Mini123 always gets the most attention. Honorable mention also goes to the Surefire Z2 with XPG-Triple making 1100 OTE.

To each their own. Last nite about 15 people were pretty dang impressed with the TK70. They couldn't believe how big it was let alone how dang bright it was. The comments were I never seen a light like that.

At the moment I'm most taken with my Blue Surefire 6P (bored O/R for 18650), McClicky/Z41 tail switch, Matteus tripple Nichia 219 with an EagleTac 18650, 3100mAh. Cell. It has great heft, fantastic flood and even driven at 4.5A gets no hotter than 'able to be held' hot.

For output, I'd give it to my Romisen RC-T602 but for size to output ratio, I'd have to go with my Klarus XT2C.

Hmmm..."proud of".....thats an interesting topic. I as well as some others here are not so much on brightness as either unique or just cool. I would have to say if "proud of" is the category it may very well be my al mcgizmo pd. i put alot of thought and tine into making it mine. I got a stock pd and added a few things to make it "unique" and "mine." i had the amazing datiled mod it to neutral xm-l and boost the output with 1a high. Also added a trit bezel and then sent the piston to precisionworks for a triple trit piston in triange shape. It also has a heat treated ti clip. So that light im proud of. For brute lumens in a beautiful package....gotta be my ti tri-edc. And for pure beauty and all around goodness my custom high output 6v haiku with etched clip. Extra credit photos to follow. O yea and for trit amazingness...of course my 3d jhanko d10! Love my lights!

Well really my EagleTac M3C4 with the new updated driver from EagleTac is one light that I am very proud of as well. And it's probably my new favorite flashlight. It's my best single XM-L thrower that I currently have and will even out throw my Crelant 7G5 and Olight M3X.

Here's a good shot at 60yds that will show you how bright it is.

You are exactly right. A few friends saw my lil H600 and was shocked by it's out put. Most people know a big light puts out a lot of light. But when you show them a 3-4in light that lights objects 100-200 yds away they are in awe.

I'm afraid this thread has conflicting answers.....The one that "Will amaze your friends" and the one "You're most proud of" are not necessarily the same. The one I'm most proud of is my Tiablo A9 head/Solarforce body based, Homemade aspheric. It is about 6" long, and makes 121,000 lux. But when my friends see it they think it's "too dim". Most of my friends are much more "Amazed" at the cheapo mini123, because of the size/output ratio.
