ar coated lens

First a quick question, I am of the understanding that an AR coated lens will allow more light transmittance through it versus a non coated lens right?

Second, where can I buy AR coated lens in any diameter that I would like? I need a pair of 5.7" round lens for a project. :devil:

I am also looking for some AR lenses. Flashlightlens doesn't have the diameter or thickness I require so I emailed them about custom orders and haven't heard back. Does anyone know of any other places to get lenses? I'm looking for one about 1.6" diameter by 0.1" to 0.2" thick...

AR coating - you could bring lens to the local optic store where made glasses . They sent their lens ( policarbonat or glass) on costum milling and treating to optical center where can apply coating ( i do myself in that way )

There is a guy on eBay right now with very reasonable prices. Only problem is he only sells in square or rectangle sizes. I ordered 2 pieces that I will have to take to a local glass shop to have cut into circles.
