REI Stormproof Matches. Hey, the thread said "best", not cheapest.

I like the Diamond "Strike Anywhere" kitchen matches but they seem to be difficult to find now.
Double-bag the match box in two zip-loc bags to keep them from getting damp.

Those are the matches I was thinking of. "strike anywhere" must mean out of frustration when trying light them.
Best I've encountered are Stormproof matches. (Check out link below.)

The good news is, you don't have to order from CC just to get one box of matches. Have seen them sold through REI and ****'s Sporting Goods.
The matches give off a bad smell. But these work incredibly well.
