Are ANSI ratings not used by Surefire?

When Surefire gives lumen ratings, I don't see them saying ANSI specifications. Does anybody know the reason for this?

Well, they usually underrate their lumen ratings. What most companies do is turn on light then measure the output within 5 minutes of turning on. So the rating seems high whereas Surefire measures their lumens after the light has been turned on for a few minutes, IIRC maybe about 30mins or something. With this kind of measurement, you get the real constant output of the light.
Like the Surefire 6P that is rated at 60 lumens, some test show its even higher than the 60 that is advertised.

Yes. it's been proven that Surefire's lumens ratings are either on the money or above it. However if Surefire rated their lumen count after 30 minutes they musn't do that any more, otherwise the Lawman would be rated at 500 lumens as opposed to 700, as it's ramps down it's power after a few minutes on high.

I believe Surefire started printing ANSI FL 1 numbers on their new models with the introduction of the G2X and 6PX series of lights. Their lights have always been considered underrated in output.
Don't forget these are Surefire Lumens, the most desirable lumens available!!;) IMHO!
