Does anyone own this light? If so, will it run at the 250 lumen mode indefinitely? Or do the batteries get too hot and shutdown?

This was just an upgraded emitter to the normal XP-G model, there shouldn't be any programmed dimming. 250 lumens from the XP-G2 should not get terribly hot in that body if held in hand.

You can check Selfbuilt's review of the Quark AA2 X (XML), I think he had some thermal graphs that showed that temps stabilized quite well at 280 lumens, certainly enough to run 2xAAs out.
