Hi guys! I just got an reply from Zebralight after asking if they intend to upgrade the sc51 with the new xp-g2 and they said that theres a project of a sc51 with Xm-l coming out!!

I mean how is it possible? They can draw enough current from AA battery to make 200 lumens. How much would it be with xm-l, and the beam pattern,it is gonna be more floody.

What do you guys think? It's a good news for me :)

I'd be all over a light like that, provided they also make the H51 (or H52) equivalent. The H502 is already great, and an alternative with more of a reflector would be nice.

I'll take a sc51c with the new board and improved switch. I may even pick up a 4200k XML version if it ever comes to light.

I remember reading that the SC51 didn't push out the reported 200 lumens listed and that when measured it was actually around 160. So maybe the XML will actually be above 200 in practice.

That's how I feel about my H 51w - significant less than spec. and no higher than any other 1xAA I have.

selfbuilt's SC51 review confirms the 200 specs.
i can load my small 1xAA lights with 14500 and get 460 (Xeno E03) or 600 (D25A) out the front, while the SC51 stays at 200 with 14500 or Eneloop. to me, 200 lm isnt very bright tbh, and hardly any brighter than 160 lm (D25A).

XML would be floody, true! i'd prefer a throwy XP-G2.
