Did all Surefire L1's have high/low output?

Was looking at this light on ebay.

Thought from reading the forums here that all generations of the Surefire L1 had a low and high light output, but when I messaged the seller about this he said his light only has one level, high.

So did the some generations of the L1 not have a low level output?

ive never heard of an L1 only having 1 output, but i could be wrong....

im thinking there is something wrong with the tailcap for it to not have a low mode.

No. High, low(a), & low(b), though hell if I can tell.
