No idea, could be a capacitor instead of a resistor.

Looks interesting, but I have not need for 24 stars atm.

It's a capacitor and those are Q3 bin ... By today's standards pretty crappy, hence the price.

I would guess the cap is for some kind of non-rectified circuit. Sems a bit 'ghetto' doing it on a star -vs- driver, but just guessing :)

At less than a buck each they are certainly worth 94 lumens at 350mA if you have some small projects you want to do.
