Tonight's episode of Cops showed a segment where this Des Moines cop goes over to a parked car at night and pulls out his flashlight, a Brinkmann Legend LX.

This is the first time that I've ever seen that light being used by a patrol officer while on-duty.

The poor guy probably has to buy his own gear. I think it was the LX BTW due to the brightness. It also looked like his partner had a regular "D" cell Maglite.

It was a Brinkmann Rebel, now called the "LED II."

It was too long to be a LX, and the beam was obviously from an LED...

I stand corrected. Just saw the "LED II" on the web and it looks like an LX at first glance.

I'm still shocked since these guys usually carry Streamlights or Mags. Maybe someday, Scotland Yard will carry Photon Microlights /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
