Hi everyone,

I have two favorite lights. One is Mac's Tri EDC. The other is Lummi Raw.
So I decided to make Lummi raw triple.

I used nichia 219 20mm triple star and carclo 10507.
The driver is 4×7135 3mode driver.Two 7135 is removed.700ma setting on high.
These are from illumination suply.

At first I cut a lens and a triple star and a driver to 16mm in diameter.

And I stuck 16mm MCPCB on a triple star as a substitute for a heat sink.

Nice mod  The GITD looks cool.

I still have my Orb Raw NS back from 2006. I don´t carry it anymore but keep it for sentiment and since it was my first custom light. I guess with innards like yours it would end up in my pockets again.

Just ordered the parts from Craig. Can you tell me how you mounted the positive and negative contacts onto the driver board. Did you use the original Lummi board or mount a positive contact plate onto the driver? I am not familiar with this driver board .

Hi,

Thanks for interest.

I'm sorry.
I forgot to write an important thing in making it.

I removed the spring in the tail. And I put a magnet of 3mm to see the button top of the battery from the side.
Finally I attached a spring to the backside of the driver.

Very nice. What is the run time on high. Is heat a issue?

Mohan

Hi Mohan,

Thank you.

Run time on high is about 25min.
Mideum:85min
Low:8.5hour

I hold it in my hand on high for five minutes.
However, it did not have a fever as I could not hold it.

I find your triple very interesting.
I'm looking into making a 3 LED light to get more then 2500 lumens.
Where do you get all the components?

Hi Mohan,

I didn't use the original Lummi board.
I use only the driver board from illuminations supply.

Outside gold plate is negative contacts, and inside gold plate is positive contact.
The negative contact scrapes the inside obstacle of the head.
The positive contact scrapes the plus of the battery.

Thank you very much. The photos are excellent and now I understand it is all put together. I notice you use copper foil for better contact with negative terminal and body of torch.

Now I wait for Craig to send the parts. Looking forward to doing this mod. Thank you the brilliant idea.
