This is a light made from 3 other lights, that took lots & lots of work &
the only light I kept with me for over 2 years. I sold lots of mag mods but could never let mag dragon jr. go, it's so compact & so powerful. I've been offered several times & I've said no.
One of the host used for body parts was Linden aspheric mag, which did 80K lux, which is typical aspheric mag throw, The Jr. eventually reached about 3x the lux .
It beat DEFT when I made it, Then it beat DEFT HO , which was 180Klux
Then it beat Mozo 35W HId
Most recently, it beat Firefox 3 in throw & recorded over 230,000 lux @ 1 meter
It has a spot size similar to DEFT, maybe slightly bigger due to slightly smaller lens used.
The lux # at begining of the thread were read by DX lux meter, my DX underead by 20% or so.
Lux readings towards the end were read by my Current lux meter, which is Extech EA30, an excellent lux meter. The same meter as what Selfbuilt use in his newer reviews.

Do not use IMR battery. Use panasonic 18650

Jr. is direct drive, see the lux measurements with various batteries. Panasonic 2900 was the best, the I tested on panny 3100 & it didn't do any better than 2900. The panny will get it up over 200 K lux & it's safe to use with Jr.
I will surely miss the Jr.
