I think all the features of the Fenix LD01 in a 1xAA version would be awesome.

Maybe a little higher med and high output with longer runtimes then the 1xAAA.

Would anyone else be interested in such a flashlight?

Olight i2 could work.

Oh sure, just had to go and tell me about a flashlight I did not know about, lol...

Specs look nice.

75 lumens (High), 20 lumens (Medium), 2.5 lumens (Low)
60 hours (Low), 5 hours (Medium), 1.5 hours (High)

That's what I do :p

I'm hoping to eventually make my own lights, but it'll be cool to see what you come up with. There is a 1 cell driver with 3 modes on shiningbeam. The specs say 900 mA on high, 200 mA medium, and 25 mA low, so that's a pretty powerful driver and could be a good mod or a driver for a custom light.

Could be a winner, but... Some of the LD01's features (less Medium mode and with awful tint, unfortunately) are already available in LD15.

If only Fenix could make potted E05 1xAA with a reasonable price...

Cheers

True, but the LD15 also only has a low of 8 lm instead of 3 lm like the LD01.

Yep, that's true, I have them both and I've always found a bit higher Low more useful for reading and short-range nav (I'm in my forties with a slowly degrading eyesight, definitely not a .001lm man, LOL). BTW my LD01 is a R4 permanently diffused with d-c-fix, same as my LD15.

Cheers
