Hey guys, I just finished up on a new light - a shorty 18650 using an xp-g2. It measures in at around 3.8" long. That is one of the shortest 18650 lights I know of (in my limited research) that uses 2 battery springs and contains an optic, and hopefully I can shave a little more off of it here and there. I'd like to get it down around 3.6" or 3.5". The light uses the latest version of the QTC engine I developed in this thread http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...C-flashlight-from-scratch-(non-battery-crush).
Here are some pics:
And here it is next to a Fenix TK12 and Mag 2D:
A video comparing the performance of the shorty 18650 to a TK12 on turbo:
I'm gonna add a lanyard hole and maybe a couple other things and will update soon.
