These are some pictures of some various flashlight mods I'm working on. I just got a metal lathe today. I haven't had much time to mess around as my schedule is packed with SATs coming up and keeping up with school work.

Keep up the metal work (I am jealous!) you are lucky to have a lathe! Hope your projects go well, also keep up the school work as well. The u.k needs custom flashlight makers.

A picture of the whole light. The lens is currently electrical taped on, I'm going to make a stainless steel bezel for it.

Inside of the light and the battery holder. It has a solid aluminum heat sink running the whole length of the flashlight. The outer shell is the positive and the inner core is the negative. The switch is on the tailcap. I powdercoated the inner core and then jbwelded it inside.

I'm considereing switcing out the led to a Cree XML. I had one on it, but I got some glue on the silicone dome so the led was destroyed. Right now it has a Cree XRE Q5 EZ900 driven at 1.5 amps direct drive, with 3 resistors in parralel.

Please excuse my spelling errors, i'm tired and just typing quickly and I don't feel like going back to fix my errors.

I was playing with it tonight and i can easily see a house 3/8 of a mile away. I couldn't test further because that is the longest, dark, straight area near my house.
