I want to replace my DBS with the X-searcher but it comes with and XM-L? What is the lux?
What lux will it do with a EZ900 R2? or is it not made for it?

Is the Nightmaster V2 still have the same head as the old ones? or is it better? It looks different?

And it looks like they don't have the R2 any more only the Q5? So should I keep my R2 pill? but nobody would want just the shell.

I was told that the XSearcher has a higher lux than the old Nightmaster, it would probably be in the 100k lux range compared to 90+k (EZ900 R2) on the nightmaster.

Nightmaster V2 has the same lens, different LED i believe.

Yes, keep your R2 pill.

I have the DBS aspheric with XRE R2 EZ900 @ 1.5A. I also have the XSearcher with XRE Q5 EZ900 @ 1.5A.
In a direct comparison the XSearcher has way more lux and throws like a champ. It's also rather beautiful to behold.With XML the XSearcher will have about the same throw as the smaller aspheric with R2 EZ900 but a much larger hotspot.

Does anyone have measurements on the X searcher. Is there a way to tell if you have a Q5 or R2 pill?
